Tired of your everyday bra? Us too! Expensive, itchy, boring, grandma lace or not ‘work appropriate’ or uncomfortable by the end of the day? These days, we find 1 of 3 scenarios are happening in the Bra arena, no matter what brilliant marketing campaign is behind a brand:
- if it’s ‘cute’ you sacrifice comfort OR
- with comfort, you sacrifice ‘cute’ OR
- you look like you just had breast augmentation
In our quest for a simple everyday bra solution that looks & feels great, we came across an intriguing brand, ‘Lively’, that is attempting to ‘blur the aesthetic lines of lingerie, active & swim, taking the best elements of high style & comfort from each category’ and creating something they call ‘Leisurée’. Pretty sure we heard the root word ‘leisure’ and we were hooked on the concept of ‘style & comfort’. We checked out their social media & their website: super cute items; the prices were really reasonable ($35 before coupon code); they have a bralette for ‘busty’ ladies, maternity bras & bodysuits…
BUT…
Can a less expensive bra(that’s been blasted all over social media) really be a good idea? Of course it looks great on those ***modest chested 20-somethings*** that are plastered all over Lively’s Instagram (***might we add that we clap for all of those women embracing their age)– but let’s be honest, our boobs looked AWESOME in our 20’s too, no matter what bra we wore (or lack thereof). Will it really be cute & comfortable on a set of ‘post nursing’ boobs?Full disclosure- the nursing situation ended a few years ago, but the girls are just.not.the.same.
Maybe we must resign to paying for the LaPerla- pretty & functional & $$$$-for the rest of our days. But for the price of 1/2 of a LaPerla Bra, we purchased all of the following items from ‘Lively’ and put them to the ultimate test: ‘Mom Boobs’.

This strapless bra is really sexy. The smooth cups look satiny, while the body and in-between the cups are all see-through mesh lace. It’s comfortable, I can wear it all day without pulling at it and it doesn’t slip. I’m not sure how they did it, but it has a modern vibe and a throwback sexiness all at once.
The Mesh Back Bikini is satiny in the front & completely see-through on the back. These were comfortable all day, no VPL and definitely not ‘granny panties’.

If you want the most comfortable bra ever, this is it. The smooth cups look satiny with a bit of mesh trim detail, the body of the bra and in-between the cups are all see-through mesh lace. It’s comfortable, the low cut works with nearly every low cut top, I can wear it all day without question. The boobs look good and did I mention, it’s super comfortable?!

This is a lacy, sexy strapless bra with gorgeous, soft lace cups while the body of the bra and in-between the cups are all see-through mesh lace. I can wear this all day, it doesn’t slip, the lace is soft & pretty (not itchy). It even looks nice if it peeks out from under a top. This has a very retro sexy vibe.

The Active Bralette in Jet Black & Navy (HERE)
This bra is very much ‘Leisurée’. While we did not run a marathon in this, it definitely held up at the gym, yoga, pilates & Lagree. And the boobs looked happy, supported & not at all compressed, like in a traditional sports bra. The straps were substantial, without looking matronly. The smooth, soft cups look like shiny athletic wear material and we loved the detail in the front. The two-tone color was pretty as well.
In all, we were LOVING what we purchased at Lively and think it is worth investing $35, (before a coupon code) to buy their products. We don’t put photos of our girls on the internet for just anyone. We really are excited to find a great ‘daily driver’ in the bra & undies department. The items we tested were:
1. comfortable
2. sexy
3. supportive
We’ve already added a few more ‘Leisurée’ items to our wardrobe and plan to try their ‘Swim’ line this year. Let us know what you think!
