Winter is coming, but for now we are fixated on Fall. The obligatory Halloween decor is out (mine is weak restrained), pumpkins are creeping into tablescapes, and costumes are being made purchased. Last minute. From what is left. No judgement. One of our children is allergic to the pumpkin patch, and having been hospitalized from that adventure last Fall, we passed on what would have been a beautifully crafted photo op and went with a pumpkin from Whole Foods, and thoroughly doused it in organic produce wash. Despite a few improvisations, we are thrilled with the gorgeous changing leaves, the over saturating aroma of pumpkin spice everything-everywhere, and most of all, the unapologetic, absolutely necessary, completely scrumptious Fall wardrobe layering situation. And Fall boots. FALL BOOTS!
